Winter can prove so harsh to the natural oils are hair produces, so a Hair Clarifying Rinse is important to protect your hair from becoming dry and dull. Perfect for all hair types.
During the winter months I try not to use shampoo to wash my hair. I know you may be thinking that I go weeks without washing my hair. Well that may sound odd, but I can say in the winter it happens more than I want to admit. Shampoos can be so harsh on the hair, striping your hair of all the natural oils it makes, also the oils you put in your hair to protect it from the dry weather. All the hard work you put into adding these oils and with one use shampoo strip them in minutes.
This is why I prefer to clarify my hair with a hair clarifying rinse. To get rid of the itch, but not strip my hair of any natural oils that it’s produces during the winter. My hair looks shiny and not dry and dull like shampoo does. I prefer to DIY hair clarifying rinses because the one I do love can go for $45.00 bucks!! And when you are trying to budget to buy a house some things can give.
How to use: I start by sectioning my hair into four parts since I have a big head. If you have a small head or very thin hair you may only need two parts. I use a shirt and cover my neck with a towel. I take the squeeze bottle and work the mixture in my scalp. The scalp is so important to get (it keeps the itch down).
Once I am done, I use a spray bottle for my ends and massage it into my hair. I shake the bottle a lot to get the essential oils to disperse so my hair can smell like flowers. I leave the rinse in for about a minute massaging my scalp well. After that I rinse my hair in the sink. The mixture is good for one full wash and will last about 3-4 weeks before it goes bad (keep an eye on it).
