Calendula Flowers and Oil half to be one of my favorite natural flowers to use in most skin care recipes. Well of course I had to make an all-natural beginners cold process soap recipe. This recipe not only consist of calendula flowers, but also is infused with real calendula oil. Now you can make calendula oil yourself, but at this point and time I am a busy mom and I don’t have time for infusing calendula flowers (It’s a pretty long process), so I bought mine off Amazon and I just love the oil. This Calendula soap has to be my favorite soaps to make. It’s super gentle on the skin and the results are wonderful! If you are beginner you will love this recipe!
Please Note: If you watch the video, I had an air head moment and added essential oil and calendula oil before I added the lye! The correct way is in the recipe directions I am so, so sorry about that I was pretty nervous about the soap video.
CAUTION FIRST: Suit up for safe handling practices. That means goggles, gloves, and long sleeves. Make sure kids, pets, other distractions, and tripping hazards are out of the house or don’t have access to your soaping space. Always soap in a well-ventilated area.

Calendula Oil Cold Process Soap Cold Process Soap Recipe Directions:
- Slowly add lye to distilled water and gently stir until lye has completely dissolved and cooled. Set aside
- In a microwave safe container melt lard, olive oil and peanut oil until dissolved in the microwave for about 3 minutes. I did this in 30 second intervals. Oil mixture should be 120-130 degrees.
- Once the lye water and the oils have cooled to 130 degrees or 120, (this temperature is perfect for the oils as well) add the lye water to the oils and stick blend the mixture to a thin trace.
- Add essential oil and calendula Oil to mixture and stick blend to medium trace.
- Fold calendula petals into soap with a rubber spatula until fully mixed in.
- Pour soap in soap mold and let sit for 1-3 days or until soap has become hard.
