Josh decided he wanted to take me on my very first camping trip before summer ended. I was a bit hesitant because I had never been camping before. Well after trying to convince me, having all the gear in the truck and pretty much telling me that we were going no matter what. I finally decided that I might as well go. We got to the camping grounds pretty late and it wasn’t what I thought a typical camping ground would be. It was rocky, flat and more of a desert at tonto basin, but much cooler and the night view was amazing!!
When it came time to put up the tent I wasn’t any help at all, so I just sat on the side lines and waited for Josh to get done setting it up. I was getting pretty hungry and this tent was taking forever, so I decided to put my city girl britches on and help him put it up the tent.
We finally got the tent all set up with more doors than I could count. This tent is definitely for more than two people, but I was ready to eat and relax so it slipped my mind to ask where he got this tent.
I really wanted Josh to catch fish so we could eat it for dinner. Apparently I thought this was a wilderness trip and we were supposed to catch fish and cook it on the fire. Well after the fire pit flamed out because of the drizzle and the waiting a few hours for a fish that didn’t bite. I am happy Josh brought the grill and food because we would have made an early trip back home. Love this Jerky by the way such a great surprise!!
The sun played peek a boo when we go there and pretty much stayed that way most of the night, but eventually the clouds passed. The moon and stars came out for a lovely bright and amazing view. See you in part 2.
