Summer is finally here and boy the garden is taking off. I must admit we planted some of our babies pretty early but they are still doing pretty well. We decided to give global buckets a try this year since we had are soil tested. The soil was no good so we put the rocks back in and were good to go. I think global buckets are worth the investment, so far they are really helping us with a fruitful summer this year. I have a video but I am in the process of converting it so I can edited it, so expect it up with more pics next week.
Josh is experimenting with a blueberry tree this year and he added basil! I told him not to add the basil but apparently he thought it was a good ideal. We will see where this goes. It will be ready in about two years I’m excited to keep you updated on the process.
I’m a bit obsessed with my tomatoes this year so be prepared to see lots of photos. We planted about four types. I guess it’s the all American fruit to grow and I’m in love. This is still a baby and already fruiting. If it would have aborted the fruit it would have not been ready!! I can’t wait to see what color they become.
This baby survived the winter and the entire trauma we put it through last summer and now it’s fruiting like wild fire. I should do side by side pics! I know many of you remember the fish fertilizer fiasco. Well now look and him…
Oh where are my socks! The mosquitoes are gonna get me. I purchased these months ago for hiking (haven’t seen a trail yet) and there quite comfortable, but I think I am going to turn them into my new garden shoes. I just need to remember to wear socks next time.
They are getting big and I have been waiting for them to change colors!! I picked a few because they were soft (they were still green), but apparently they were not ready once I took the first bite.
It’s nice to know someone else walked out the house without socks, but those mosquitoes won’t attack him at all! For some odd reason they always attack me first and he is a last resort! He is so lucky he’s not the main course!
