As far back as I can remember we have always made oven baked peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with a hint of cinnamon.
It was three of us and we wanted something warm, quick and gooey (when we came home from school). I was always in charge of adding the peanut butter to the bread, my brother was in charge of the jelly, and my sister just loved adding cinnamon before we put are sandwiches together. We had the perfect little system!
That’s why when peanut butter & co contacted me and ask me to revolutionized the PB&J sandwich. I had so many ideals in my head that I wanted to do, but the only on that stuck with me was oven baked peanut butter and jelly! I guess all those childhood memories of eating melting peanut butter, gooey jelly and cinnamon on a toasted sandwich.
Let’s be honest, who has time to grill a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? Baking them is so much easier, and all you have to do is sit and wait for them to be done! Enjoy!
Once your finish making your sandwiches, place them on a baking sheet in a 350 degree preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until bread is toasted.
**For the adult version** add butter to the out side of the bread wrap them in foil and let them bake for 20-30 minutes. They are even better!

Leave it to you to come up with how to make PB&J good for grown-ups! We actually make pb&j quesadillas here. I put peanut butter in a tortilla and fold it in half, then heat it up for a few minutes on each side. The kids dip the quesadillas in jelly.

I have never had a baked pb&j sandwich. I usually just eat them cold out of my lunchbox at work. Our kids love pb&j and they would love this interesting take.
