I like to call this my staple protein bar. The key to a good protein bar is a balance between wet and dry ingredients. However it’s better to have a moist bar then a dry one any day. I decided not to add any nuts or seeds, because they can add up quickly when you’re counting calories (if you’re trying to lose weight). If you have never made protein bars, this is a pretty simple and quick recipe that requires no time in the oven and makes a great snack!
What you will need for this tutorial:
Rolled Oats
Honey
Protein Powder
Vanilla Extract
Apple Sauce
Stevia (or any sugar substitute of your choice)
Almond Milk
Chocolate (Optional)
In a large bowl combine 2 cups rolled oats and 2 scoops of protein powder. Mix until the ingredients are combined. Add ¾ cup apple sauce, 1 tsp. vanilla extract, ¼ cup honey, 2 tbsps. stevia and ½ cup almond milk.
Once all the ingredients are mixed together, you should have a moist or sticky protein dough.
In 8*8 baking pan or any baking pan you like add saran wrap. Place the dough in the pan and saran wrap over the top. Press down on the dough until it reaches the corners on the pan. Place in the fridge for 20 minutes or until the bars are firm to the touch.
This part is optional! But it’s a must for me! Most of you know about my obsession for all things chocolate and vanilla! Any chance I get to drizzle chocolate or add vanilla I’m taking it!
Just add ¼ or ½ cup chocolate chips in a bowl, and place in the microwave for 30 seconds or until chocolate melts. Let cool and smear or drizzle on bars. Cut into 4 large or 8 small bars. Enjoy 🙂

First off, your photos look GORGEOUS in this awesome tutorial! I have yet to make protein bars but these look fantastic (I love that they are no bake!). Before you press them in the pan the dough almost looks like cookie dough … I kinda want to grab my hand into the screen to taste some! Can’t wait to try this once I get my hands on some protein powder! 😀 Pinned!

I just made some gluten-free cookies using rolled oats today – it had raw peanut butter, chocolate chips, dried cranberries, egg replacer, and sugar! Yum! I love the chocolate drizzle, they look amazing on your staple bars!!!!!

These look great! Do you have any nutritional/calorie stats for the 4 large or 8 small (per bar)? I eat a protein bar for my breakfast most mornings right before my students walk into class. I don’t eat lunch until 12:15, so I try to put off breakfast as long as possible.

I don’t have any nutrition facts, but due to the low fat and sugar amount they are pretty low in calories.. If you would like to make them even lower in calories, I would suggest using a sugar substitute instead of honey…
