I’m finally baking again, since my sweet tooth has been in overdrive. There is nothing that I crave more than brownies. Regular brownies can carry twice the fat and loads of sugar. While I don’t mind having a decadent brownie every now and then. I prefer bit size pieces that are lower in calories. When melting whipped butter you may get a bit less butter then you measured, you will need to melt just a bit more butter if this happens.
Low fat brownie bites are moist and super rich in chocolate. You can decorate them anyway you like. I like to add a bit of coco powder, melted chocolate, and yogurt to a bowl; mix it up and spread it on the brownies. I am still working on measurement amounts for my healthy frosting. I will share once it’s perfect. Question of the day: How do you decorate your brownies?
Low-Fat Chocolate Brownie Bites Recipe:
½ cup all-purpose flour
3 tbsps. coco powder
¼ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. baking powder
¾ cup sugar substitute (I used Splenda)
¾ cup unsalted whipped butter (melted)
¼ cup sugar
3 egg whites
1tsp. vanilla extract
Recipe Directions: Preheat oven 350 degrees, grease and line an 8*8 baking pan with parchment paper. Cream sugar, eggs, vanilla extract and melted butter until foamy. Fold coco powder, flour, baking powder and salt until mixed. Pour batter into baking pan and spread, baking in the oven for 10-15 minutes; or until a tooth pick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let cool and cut into bite size pieces.
