If you miss my post yesterday go ahead and check it out! It’s a review of 31 days of Dark Chocolate Dreams, and today we are doing a recipe from the book and giveaway.
I really wanted to give you the recipe for the delicious smoothie, but we had a vote and the blondies won! I demanded a recount, but I would have had to make more trays of blondies for Josh to take to work (all his co-workers loved them)! My feet were sore and I had did enough baking for one day, so I decided to gracefully take my defeat! I guess blondies do have more fun :).
Dark Chocolate Dreams Swirled Blondies Recipe:
1 ½ cups packed light brown sugar
¾ cup unsalted butter (melted)
2 large eggs (room temperature)
1tsp. vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all purposes flour
½ tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. salt
1/3 cup Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter
Recipe Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees; spray an 8*8 baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and line with parchment paper. In large bowl combine butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients until combined.
Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and beat until just combined. Spread the batter into the prepared baking dish. Spoon dollops of Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter on top of the batter and swirl with the of a knife (if the peanut butter is too thick place it in the microwave and let it melt).
Bake for 30 minutes, or until the center begins to puff and edges are brown. Let cool for 30 minutes before cutting into 9 squares, and store in air tight container.
It’s Giveaway Time!!
One lucky reader will have the chance to win a jar of Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter and a copy of 31 days of Dark Chocolate Dreams.

Good luck to everyone in the contest! Winner will be chosen at random on February 6, 2014.
