The end of the year is approaching and I am actually looking forward to 2014. I am going to start doing more how to tutorials and start showing you other fun projects. My passion will always be cooking but I like to do other things as well. Lately I have been enjoying infusing oils with lots of herbs and rose oil has to be my favorite.
Lets get started…
When I am not making potpourri I like to infuse my oils with roses. I like to dry the roses out crush them and then cover them over the oil. The oil is ready in 4 weeks but I like to let mine infused for 8 weeks.
Fill the jar half way with rose petals then add your oil over the petals. Make sure your petals are crushed and use a very good carrier oil (I used olive). I use a few drops of rose essential oil to give it a lovely aroma. Once the oil is done strain the oil from the petals and store.
There are many uses for your rose oil. You can use it in soaps, sugar scrubs, body butters and lip balm.
