Everyone has their favorite green smoothie that comes with all sorts of benefits! Mine usually has a hint of stevia for a sweeter flavor. Smoothies are a great way to get your veggies in and keep you skin nice and glowing. I started drinking smoothies about a year ago and even did a 30 day smoothie challenge. It was a pretty rough challenge and I even lost a few pounds. Breakfast can get complicated so on those days when I am over oatmeal and I can’t stand eating another hard boil egg. I like to enjoy a refreshing smoothie.
After all it is the holidays and we gotta get are veggies in some way, so let’s start in the morning with a glowing green smoothie.
Glowing Green Smoothie Recipe:
1 ripe banana
1cup spinach
1.5 cups milk (I used almond)
¼ cup yogurt
1 stevia packet
Recipe Directions: Place spinach, banana, yogurt, milk, and stevia in the blender. Blend on medium speed until all the ingredients are combined. Serve in a tall glass. The serving size of the smoothie is for one person. You can double the amount of ingredients if your serving more than one.

I love green smoothies but have to admit I haven’t had made one since it’s gotten cold which needs to change 🙂 Thanks for the reminder Shundara, yours sounds perfect for balancing out all those treats we tend to indulge in over the holiday:)

I completely agree Kelly 🙂 It is so cold but we were in the 80’s today 🙂

I love love love smoothies (not that it comes as a surprise i guess – it is not that I call myself the smoothie lover or anything 😉 haha)
I especially like them when there are greens like spinach hidden in them.
Shundara@Savynaturalista says
Me to that is the only way to drink them! Hide the greens 🙂

The green smoothie recipe I use doesn’t call for milk or stevia or the yogurt. I am not using sweeteners at all. For a variation try adding peaches and mango. I buy them frozen. I also use organic coconut water and add some kale. This way I get lots of greens and lots of vitamins and stay lactose free which I try to do several days a week since I am lactose intolerant

I am lactose intolerant as well.. I just love variety to my smoothies, and like I mention in the post everyone has a signature green smoothie that they love.. I have so many smoothie recipes that you can try; this is just my favorite one for the time being.. I have also added peaches and mangoes to smoothies, but since they are not in season right now I am waiting to the summer 🙂
