Good bye Halloween! Hello Holidays! I think it’s time to go into the holiday season, what about you? Every store is getting ready for Christmas and I didn’t even get a chance to buy all the Halloween candy up. The day after Halloween is a tradition all the candy is on sale and I get to buy as much as I can. I started with candy corn and ended with peanut butter!
I know some of you are still eating that Halloween candy and if you have bags of candy corn (like I do) I have a treat for you! Candy corn butter is going down and all you need is a food processor and a few ingredients. It’s basically butterfinger in a jar that you can eat anytime you have a craving for butterfinger without the chocolate. This is neat gift for all your friends and family and a great way to get rid of all that candy corn.
This recipe is tricky and took me three bags of candy corn and a couple of jars of peanut butter to get it right. You would think all you needed to do was add the peanut butter and candy corn and blend! Wrong! Pulse the candy corn until you get little pieces of candy corn. If you are tempted to blend the candy corn don’t! your food processor will over heat and you don’t want that. Creamy oily peanut butter works the best for this recipe. You can spread it on apples, celery, your favorite bread or try it in some baked goods. I love it straight out of the jar!
Candy Corn Butter Recipe:
1.5 cups candy corn
2 cups creamy peanut butter
½ cup vegetable oil
Recipe Directions: In food processor add candy corn and pulse until candy corn is crushed into fine pieces. Add peanut butter and blend until the peanut butter and candy corn are combined and creamy. If the peanut butter and candy corn start to clump together turn off the food processor add oil and blend until the mixture becomes creamy. Store in mason jars and give as gifts.

This looks so good! I can’t wait to try it. Do you know what the shelf life is for it?
Stephanie says
Do you know if you can can/seal this?? How long is the shelf life per jar?
Shundara@Savynaturalista says
I think it can be sealed.. I don’t know the shelf life because everyone ate it with in the month that I made it… I think if your sealing the jars, it can last a few months…
