When heat meets moisture you will find it hard to breathe and end up getting vertigo, it is the worse feeling everything is spinning around you, even when you close your eyes! You can barely stand, if you are not careful you will end up falling or tripping over something.
I have had it once last year (lasted a week), and this will be my second time it came out of nowhere. I am happy I was already home because I was able to stay in bed the majority of the day. The moisture was out of control yesterday but my vertigo has subsided just a bit and I am making today a rest day.
I like to freeze my own berries they can me so much cheaper then buying frozen berries. The heat will not quit and I have been looking forward to making more frozen drinks. They can be so difficult to photograph because they melt quickly. I had that problem when I was photographing this slushy. By the time I was done it had melted and was more like a thick glob of fruit that had been blended together; it was still yummy just not frozen like a slushie should be. When you make this slushie do not wait as long as I did to slurp it especially on a hot day.
The combination of tart and sweet are yummy for this slushie and you will become hooked so pucker up and enjoy the summer flavors.
Strawberry Blueberry Lemonade Slushie Recipe:
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 2 cups frozen blueberries
- 2-4 whole lemons
- 4 packets of stevia
Recipe Instructions:
- Place strawberries, blueberries, lemon juice, and stevia into food processor and blend until all the ingredients become a thick slush. Once smooth scoop out with an ice cream scoop and serve.
Recipe Notes: There are many variations to this slushie; if you like a thick and fruity slushie you do not half to add water. I added about 1/2 cup of water to my slushie so there was more liquid. If you cannot find stevia you can use honey or coconut sugar to your taste.
