I love granola bars, but this batch I did not get a single crumb. These granola bars get eaten quickly in this house. They are chewy and crunchy and not hard on your teeth at all. I always believe when you make quick snacks they get eaten even quicker.
Granola Bar (5 ingredients):
• 2 cup rolled oats
• 1 cup puffed rice cereal
• 3/4 cup honey
• 1 tbsp. coconut oil
• 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Place parchment paper in a 9 by 9 inch square cake pan and set aside. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spread oats and rice cereal onto a half-sheet pan. Place in the oven and toast for 5 minutes.
While toasting mix honey vanilla extract, and coconut oil in a separate bowl. Take oats out the oven place in a bowl and immediately add honey mixture. Place in the cake pan and put in the oven for 20 minutes; once done let cool cut and serve.
Recipe Notes:
If you would like a crunchy bar you can add extra time in the oven to your bars. The bars will crumble once you cut them if the coconut oil and honey mixture does not have time to set. Use a sharp knife a pizza cutter is not sharp enough to cut into the bars.
