Oh how I love smoothies but they are even better in a bowl a big bowl of delicious goodness. I am obsessed with Robeks smoothie bowls but they can get pretty pricey, and when you’re on a budget that can add up quickly. I really wanted one today so I decided to try and make one this morning for breakfast. I was super excited about trying to create my own smoothie bowl… Well…. Let’s just say that was a bust.
I used 3 plums, 1 banana, ½ cup of oatmeal, 1 tbsp. of almond butter. I did not use any almond milk I wanted a thick smoothie. My smoothie bowl was very thick more like porridge not a smoothie. It did not taste like the ones at Robecks it had more of a tart taste with banana flavor. I would say the good thing about smoothie bowls you get more fruits and veggies in to your diet. I really doubt I would eat three plums and banana in one sitting but I did in my smoothie bowl.
Oh how I really do try but its all in good fun.. 🙂

I’d add some flavour-free protein shake to that, but in any case it looks yummy!
