Simple five minute filling, that’s perfect for cakes and pies all natural, healthy creamy low fat sugar free pineapple filling!!
Lately I have been trying to leave the whole food blog scene alone! I felt it was not my thing and even though I love food! I wanted the blog to go a different route. I was trying to phase out the recipe side of the blog, and I know it’s been a minute since I updated my recipe index! I was actually trying to get rid of it!
I just wanted to do more natural beauty things; so I was focusing on my natural handmade beauty products and doing more health related stuff. Then I saw a post in my Instagram feed! I jumped up for joy because I love when you guys make my stuff, but then it hit me! Food and beauty are one in the same! I can make recipes and sell handmade bath and beauty products, and I know you will enjoy them both!
Pineapple filling is perfect for cakes, pies or any dessert, when you’re craving pineapple. I personally enjoy it on apples or alone. Most pineapple filling is too sweet for my taste buds, so I left out the sugar and got a creamy filling. It’s not to sweet but very addictive!
Pineapple Filling (Sugar-Free) Recipe:
2 cups diced pineapple
¾ cup water
¼ cup sugar sub (I used stevia)
2 tsps. cornstarch
1 tsp. lime juice (optional)
Recipe Directions: Mix cornstarch, lime juice and water and a medium bowl and set aside. On medium heat in a small pot add pineapple, cornstarch mixture and sugar substitute and stir. Let mixture simmer until thicken, about 5 minutes. Once thicken turn off heat, let cool and store in an air tight container.

That’s an awesome feeling when someone lets you know they tried one of your recipes and loves it:) I love that you share both beauty and food recipes! This pineapple filling looks fantastic, I can think of so many things to use this in but mostly I would be happy just eating it by the spoonful:)

This looks great, and I adore anything made with pineapple! Just one question: was that a one-for-one stevia baking blend, or actual powdered stevia? I think 1/4 cup of the pure powder would be way too much. . . just want to check before I make it! Thanks. 🙂

Thanks so much! I did use 1/4 cup of powdered stevia, if you feel it’s to much for your palate go ahead and reduce the amount to your liking 🙂 Let me know how it turns out!
