This has got to be one of my favorite bath salts I have done! I don’t know if it’s because once you add them to running water the water turns blue, or they smell so amazing I feel as if I am soaking in a tub of raspberries. I honestly can’t decide which one is better, but what I do know is if you decided to make them as a gift, everyone will want to know your little secret.
I did keep a bit for myself, but I am adding them to a collection of fruity and easy beauty diy’s that I’m sending to my little sister. They grow up so fast, she just turned 14 and I can still remember when she was a baby running around with a pacifier in her mouth. To be honest I still think she is 5 years old some days. When she turns 18 I won’t have a clue what to do! She is really into bright colors and fruity scents.
If you’re looking to give these out as a gift the blue maybe a bit lighter, but once you add them to the water you will get an intense and misty blue. Just a bit of these bath salts will go a long way so no need to put them all in the tub at once.
Misty Berry Bath Salts
2 cups epsom salt
¼ cup coconut oil (optional)
1 packet mixed berry or blue raspberry powdered drink mix (I used Kool aid)
Recipe Directions: In a medium bowl add epsom salt and drink mix; mix together with a spoon, until the mix and salts have been combined. Add coconut into bowl and mix all together until the oil is incorporated. Once done store in air tight container.

This is so creative! I love the pretty blue color and adding kool-aid to get the fruity scent sounds like such a great idea!

What a creative idea, I’m in need of some colorful bath salts right now – my stomach is hurting at the moment. Perfect color for the summer, Shundara! Now…I’m thinking of turmeric for yellow and achiote powder for red 😉 Haha!

The coconut oil makes it smell like almond joys -yummy! I tried this out to gift to my cousin and my soon-to-be college room mate; I hope they enjoy it! I did add a few drops of blue food coloring for a deeper color, but otherwise, I love this!

Does the kool aid stain your bathtub?
Shundara@Savynaturalista says
I have never had the problem.. It may depend on your tub..
