I know this may sound weird, but I crave fruits and veggies more often as I get older. It’s a habit that I definitely had to learn over time. Growing up I hardly ever remember eating fruits and veggies, the only time we got to eat them is when we went to my grandma’s house. She would just pile them on our plates, and we couldn’t have dessert until we ate them. With time, I have grown to love them and can’t go a day without eating them.
Sesame Snow Pea Salad is one of my favorite side dishes I can eat at least twice a week. It goes well with chicken, beef or any other protein you prefer. It takes only a few minutes to whip up. If you had busy day and your to tired to cook! Try this salad instead of take out. Question of the day: What’s your favorite salad?
Sesame Snow Pea Salad Recipe:
1lb fresh snow peas
¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
1 ½ tbsps. sesame seed oil
1 tbsp. sesame seeds
3 tbsps. low sodium chicken broth
¾ tsp. ground ginger
1 tbsp. sweet chili sauce (optional)
Recipe Directions: In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame seeds, chicken broth, ginger, sweet chili sauce and set aside. In a non-stick skillet on medium heat; add sesame seed oil and let warm up. Once the oil has warmed, stir and toss snow peas in skillet until coated with oil, about 2-4 minutes. Once coated turn heat down to low and pour dressing over snow peas and stir another 2 minutes. Turn off heat, let cool and serve.

I just can’t go a day without fruit or vegetables either. Well, I wouldn’t even last a morning without fruit. People often think I’m weird – CRAVING fruit. Sounds silly 😉
This salad looks absolutely amazing! Have to make it.
